My name is Miguel Ángel López and I am Quality and Safety Management System Manager.
My job is to manage quality in processes. I have 6 years at D'Ortega Packaging where we control the processes of inspection at materials reception, printing, stitching and gluing.
Certifications
All customers demand certifications from us. They require you to be ISO 9000 certified. That's key and it is a basic one for all customers.
We are certified in FSSC 22000 which is innocuousness safety and in FSC, cardboard and paper chain of custody.
Technical visits
At D'Ortega we have a calendar of technical visits. This service is extra and is not see a rejection.
These technical visits are scheduled throughout the year and we visit customers to see what improvements we can make.
What areas of opportunity have been found, what can we improve in the box to give them a better performance and have a better quality.
Our Team
Something that is valuable to me is my working family, my work team. I live more with them than with my family. We have made a good family here too.
Challenges
There are very complicated products that could take about 6 processes. There are products that have 2 processes. However, we do not rely on whether it is a product with few or many processes. Either of the two can give you a lot of problems or it cannot give you problems.
Quality in folding packaging is more than just boxes
Whether we are far or near, the service has been immediate, and our customers do not have it with nearby suppliers, unlike with us.
